The season of upsets continue in college football as South Carolina beat No. 4 Mississippi 16-10. S. Carolina had to settle for a field goal every time they got close to the endzone, until they finally scored a TD in the 3rd with a 2-yard pass to WR Patrick DiMarco. If there is anything the Rebels regret (besides losing) it's probably that failed fake punt in the 1st half which the Gamecocks special teams were zeroed on like heat-seeking missiles.

FInally the mystery is solved. Steve Spurrier admits that South Carolina kept Tebow from getting a unanimous vote because he did not fill out the ballot himself. The Gamecocks director of football operations completed the ballot, and chose Mississippi QB Jevan Snead. The SEC will allow Spurrier to amend the ballot. So now Snead gets screwed :(
